On a cold winter’s night in 2010, I decided to get back into professional cooking. I didn’t want to get back into a restaurant with its high overhead and low profits. I wanted to do high quality, slow cooked southern bbq catering for the folks who want something different than the traditional party, wedding and picnic food for Richmond, VA. And so was born Capt. Rob's Pigalicious BBQ Catering. I cook quality beef, pork, chicken, and fish on a Lang Wood burning cooker. Capt. Rob's Pigalicious BBQ Catering does delivery, pickup and on site cooking for events in Virginia. I can be your private pitmaster and cook for your family or cater for 200 plus guest.

In 2010, not only did I become a KCBS (Kansas City Barbeque Society) judge, but I became an award winning pitmaster by winning in a category at the 1st Annual Pork and Fork Festival in Smithfield VA. Since then I have won in Richmond VA at a KCBS event and in the summer of 2012, I won 1st place in the VA Lottery Grill Off at The Diamond in Richmond VA. For 2013, I am one of 30 teams hoping to win at the Sam’s Club Invitational here in RIchmond VA in Augus. Capt. Rob's Pigalicious BBQ can prepare pulled pork, ribs, beef brisket, smoked chicken or mouthwatering smoked salmon for any of your event needs. In addition we can do fish fries, crab pickin' parties, oyster roasts and more. Capt. Rob's Pigalicious BBQ Catering doesn’t do fancy; we do good eats and we do this all at an affordable price. Capt. Rob's Pigalicious BBQ Catering also has side dishes that will have your guests asking for the recipe and you know what? I will give them some of them but some recipes are closely guarded Wilhoite Family recipes.
